Sonnet Boom is a citywide love-poem contest celebrating belonging, joy, and the everyday magic of the 305.
Presented by O, Miami, Supporting Women Writers in Miami (SWWIM), and Elevate Miami, Sonnet Boom asks a simple question: what do you love about Miami?
Miamians of all ages are invited to submit an original 14-line poem celebrating the city – its people, neighborhoods, culture, spirit, and resilience. No poetry experience needed. Just heart.
Selected poems will be showcased across Miami – on buildings, bridges, and digital screens – and featured in live public readings.
